late night randoms & a kid that won't quit.

it never ends.  just when i think i can't like him anymore than i already do?  he does something awesome like grow hair & love baths again.  if you guys thought bald parker was cute, just wait until you start seeing more of "peach-fuzz-grow-out" parker.  

and now combine "peach-fuzz-grow-out" parker with "i-freaking-love-the-bath-and-never-want-to-get-out" parker {which is much more enjoyable than "screaming-like-a-girl-when-my-hands-get-wet" parker}, and we have ourselves the makings of something great.  

well, something pretty much like this.

this went on for thirty minutes last night.  maybe more.

anywho, i am pretty excited for our weekend.  i plan on tackling some projects around the house that may or may not decrease some of the current "i-hate-all-our-home-decor" anxiety i've been experiencing.  thanks for that, pinterest.  i hope to either sew up some curtains or get a good head start on making a smaller version of this quilt to sit on the foot of our bed.  think white comforter, white sheets, white pillows, lots of accent colors.  and no, don't think lots of dirt amongst all the white.  dirt isn't allowed past my bedroom door.  because i said so.

i'm also pretty excited because i've been spending lots of time on photography things.  the photoblog has been updated a bit & now i even have my very own "photography by amy lee" facebook page.

so if you're feeling so inclined {which you totally should be} go ahead & hit up my page & pop me a thumbs up.  especially if you're in the pnw & want your pretty face captured by my camera.  or also if you just like pretty pictures of pretty faces.  because that's there too.

and by this point i've run out of things to say but feel like i should say more.  ya know, so the post doesn't end with me trying to plug all my endeavors down your throat {wait, can you plug endeavors down a throat?  i'm gonna go with yes.}  but since i've spent the last four hours writing html & editing billions {yes, billions} of pictures, there is just nothing intelligible coming.  so this is how this post ends.  and now you probably feel like you've just wasted your time reading a paragraph about how this post will end.  it was thirty seconds you'll never get back.

but on the bright side?  it's friday, heyyyyyyyyy!

we like 'em short & stout

parker had his six month check up yesterday & as a parent, you wait for these "well baby" appointments to see where your kid stacks up against all the others on the charts.  even if you're not a parent, you know the ones.  the charts where everyone says, "oh yeah, my kid is in the 99th percentile for everything" or "my kid is a shrimp.  we're barely on the map."  you've heard it before.

why do we put so much stock into these silly percentages?  do they even mean anything?  well, if so, parker is destined to be a future george costanza.  i can already tell he's got the sense of humor.  and the hair.

he is:
weight - 18 pounds 14 ounces - 75%
length - 26 inches - 25%

short & stout.  but he is WAY cuter than george costanza.

in other news:

i started up a facebook page for "a good life."  i like to post regular updates & the such as on facebook, but when it gets excessive i worry that the-guy-from-my-eighth-grade-chemistry-class-who-i'm-facebook-friends-with-but-don't-really-know-anymore probably doesn't care a whole lot.  so i'm separating blogging from personal life just a wee bit more.
