our week by iPhone - week 73

let's just announce the big news, shall we?  INSTAGRAM IS NOW ON ANDROID!!  everybody dance.

so if you are one of the many new androiders who are now part of my favorite social network, let me know.  find me @amy_agoodlife & say hi so i can follow back!  it's pretty awesome to have a whole new slew of people on there to picture-bond.

and now on to our week.

sunday.  so i don't usually include sunday but we went on this pretty awesome family walk in the rain & i got some of my all-time favorite parker-iPhone pics.  so i included them, obviously.

monday. parker led the way on our run at stroller strides & then joined me on a little date for soft pretzels & shopping at target.  back at home he longed for the outside but eventually went down for a nap so i could have some alone time with the interwebz.

monday night parker & sam snuggled up on the couch & watched the ncaa tourney before parker stripped down & showed some skin for bathtime.

tuesday.  hilarious playdate with besties followed by driving around letting the kiddo sleep before an OB appointment.  waiting room fun before the appointment & some good times grocery shopping for easter candy.  and an adorable sleepy kiddo.

wednesday.  lots of time playing outside after a great workout & wrestling when daddy gets home.  p-ray officially scrubs/washes his own hair & it totally amazes me how big this kid is getting.

thursday.  checking out the growing belly in the bathroom mirror & waiting to get a pedicure on my lunch hour {which never happened because the waiting took too long... boo!}.  sitting outside on a break feeling baby kicks & admiring cherry blossoms.  driving a forward-facing kiddo home {just got turned around this week!} & creeping on him while sleeping.  totally normal.

friday.  early morning snuggles before heading outside for a sunny-day workout.  naptimes for everyone followed by adventures outdoors while waiting for sam to get home.  and then sending the week out with a bang with a cup of fro-yo.

and that's how it's done.

twenty-two weeks. bump.

duuudes.

i'm not sure why it's taken twenty-two weeks but it's really hitting me that i'm pregnant.  i feel pregnant.  i feel this little boy moving in there all the time & it makes me so crazy happy.  i walk into a room & strangers look at me & i'm about 75% sure they can tell i'm pregnant, not just eating too many peanut butter twix {which maybe i still am}.

every now & then i think about how we're having another boy & i get so excited.  i get so excited about being the mom of two little boys.  and, i've spent a lot of time this week wondering if he'll look like parker or if he'll be completely different.  will he be another bald baby?  will he have my dark eyes like parker or blue eyes like sam?  it's so fun to wonder & i've done a lot of that this week.

i spend a lot of time thinking about baby boy names too.  yes, i have a favorite.  no, i probably won't be talking about it here.  sam & i reserve the right to change our minds up to the last second & honestly?  sam's opinion is pretty much the only one i care about... no offense friends.  i will say we're having a hard time coming up with something we love as much as the name "parker."  but i also realize it's unfair to attempt to come up with something as good since we're so biased due to this hilarious little kid we have in our lives who makes the name so awesome.  does that make sense?  obviously we're not gonna just automatically love a new name as much as the name "parker" because well, we know parker.  all these other names are just names.  so i have to keep that in mind.

i'm still feeling pretty good.  although, after sitting for long periods of time {ie: internetting & blogging}, i do feel a little stiff & sore when i get up.  but i'm not having any problems running & working out... getting up early & getting there on time?  another story.  i'm a lazy morning girl.  but that has nothing to do with pregnancy.

some other things i really need to sit down & write about?

how scared i am of having two kids.  how i'm already anticipating missing having parker as my one & only & how i'm so scared of feeling like i have even less time to do all the things i would like to do in a day.  i promise these posts are coming... but this will have to do for now.  i'm trying to be in bed by midnight every night & if i get on those topics?  we're talking hours later.

bright side?

it's friday & it's the freakin weekend.  have a good one peeps.  {<-- hehe, easter pun!}

little bits of happiness, week four.

this is my fourth week linking up with stephanie for the happiness meme.  have i mentioned how much i love going throughout my week trying to find things that make me happy?  i like it.

here's a few tidbits of happiness from the last week of my life.

•  the springy flower garland made out of post-it notes hanging in my entryway.  my mom made all but two of them.  i conveniently learned how to make them when we really didn't need many more made but i swear i didn't do it on purpose... i had a toddler to chase after & little time to fold flowers.  ok, there was probably lots of instagram, facebook & blogging mixed in there too.

•  p-ray & his love for trains.  although at this exact second he looks less than satisfied by them.  this little monster makes me laugh so hard.  and sometimes grit my teeth & pull my hair.  but mostly laugh.

•  the new color scheme going on in our living room.  it started with outing the dark red curtains & replacing them with yellow ones.  then went the red throw pillows & in came blue.  every new splash of color in the room gives me a whole new level of happy-face-ness.

•  i have a serious love affair with our new computer.  i daydream about it.  we spend all kinds of time together late into the wee hours of the night snuggled up on the couch, editing photos & watching csi re-runs.  it's becoming our thing.  don't tell sam.

•  and then there's this guy again.  t minus twenty-one days til his second birthday.  i can't wait!

twenty-one weeks. bump.

and then we were in the twenties.  

the belly starts to grow, you start to actually look pregnant & you get to feel baby a lot.  i like this part.  i'm comfortably pregnant.  i feel pregnant & i feel little boy's constant kicks & nudges all day long.  this is the fun part!  

well, my dwindling wardrobe isn't so fun but at least i can break out all the maternity pants & feel comfortable about the expanding waistline.  and i have been.  i've been living in maternity skinny jeans & yoga pants & most my t-shirts still fit.  so that's good.

as good as i am feeling, the fact that i have a pre-existing bad back is rearing its ugly head.  i have a history of sciatic pain & uneven hips which makes me feel like an 80 year old woman even when i'm not pregnant... so the expanding hips & the increasing belly-weight puts a lot of pressure back there that i have to be careful with.  i'm still able to run quite a bit at stroller strides but i definitely feel it the rest of the day.  hopefully my high-intensity work out days are not numbered!

i don't really feel like i have any legit "pregnancy cravings."  i mean, long before i was ever pregnant i loved chocolate, ice cream & all things carbs.  i just find myself giving in to those little guilty pleasures more often now that i'm pregnant.  this week has been all about chocolate milk & peanut butter twix.  YUM.  

we had an awesome weekend.  despite crappy weather, we spent a lot of time outside & had some good ol fashioned family time.  lots of errands, a couple meals on the town & a late night or two watching "arrested development" on apple tv.  thems is the makings of a good weekend muh friends.

our week by iPhone - week 72

we made it to the weekend my friends & it was a pretty good week leading up to it.  my mom was in town all week & some good times were had.  i do have a twenty-one week bump post coming up but it'll have to wait til monday... we've been having too much fun.

here's what it looked like in pictures!

monday.  i took p-ray & the bump out for a run monday morning in the sun & crisp air.  felt pretty awesome.  back at home there was face squishing & wrestling... which is just business as usual when you're the mom to an energetic little boy.

monday night we took my mom downtown to a couple of our favorite local spots.  a sandwich shop for dinner & a cupcake shop for dessert.  parker's excitement was apparent all the way through bathtime.  that's pretty much what i looked like all night too.

tuesday.  parker & i started the morning off with some wrestling while my mom made major headway on new curtains for my living room.  parker decided a nap wasn't for him that day & opted for an hour & a half of quiet time with books & animals in his bed.  whatevs p-ray, whatevs.

once he was up parker decided it was time to go outside.  in the pouring rain.  we threw on our raincoats & boots & got really really wet.  after dragging him inside kicking & screaming we went out with friends to mexican food to celebrate heather's birthday... happy birthday heather!  your birthday should be everyday, if it means chips, salsa & delicious enchiladas.  yummm.

wednesday.  parker & i went to stroller strides {where he spent quality time with his girlfriend madison} while my mom stayed home & put finishing touches on the new curtains... that lady is amazing, i tell ya.  parker looked out the window at the torrential downpour & tried to convince me we needed more rainy day play but i wasn't as easy to convince since the rain was coming down sideways.

wednesday night was kinda awesome.  hunger games with my mom.  pop, popcorn.  nuff said.

thursday.  i went in to work & emptied that little inbox while mom & parker stayed at home & worked on puzzles.

i hit up a soft pretzel on the way home {major pregnancy guilty pleasure... and non-pregnancy guilty pleasure} where i met the newest addition to our family.  our new macbook!  love love love it.  kinda obsessed.  and in love.

then p-ray slept all crazy like & i liked it.

friday.  after stroller strides parker hit up the books & pretended to be happy with me even though we were very very sad... it was mom/grandma going home day.  booooo!  we dropped mom off at the airport, stopped at the pet store to look at animals & the mall to try on clothes & then parker took pictures of his feet all the way home.
