Memory Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Get it...?? Elephants have good memories, duh!!

  1. I remember the first time I met you-July 4, 2004. (Crazy that I remember that, huh?) Anyway, I'd heard a lot about you and was really excited to finally meet you. When you walked in the room I thought, "Wow! She's really pretty." We visited a little bit and I thought "and she's super nice, too. Good work Sam!"

A more recent memory: on one of our trips to Washington you and I stayed up until 3 or 4 in the morning talking while you doodled in a notebook. Then I was really jealous the next morning when Ellie woke up at 6 and you got to sleep in until 11. Oh well!

I laughed at the memory you left on my blog. What was I supposed to think? I'd never done laundry with dry soap before, only the liquid kind.

  2. I love that you remember the date! We went to Makayla's blessing on that day though, so I remember it too :)

And I remember our night staying up and talking... I drew that picture, then the next morning I think I crumpled it up b/c it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to! Oh well, the night wasn't about my silly doodles, it was about good ol' Laura and Amy bonding time!

  3. Oh, so many memories. I think I'll choose going to the wildlife park thing we went to last year after the big family reunion. Oh and by the way, you weren't hustled at ESPN SceneIt, I'm just really that good :)

  4. We had lots of good times, but I'm going to talk about the first time we met too! You already said on your blog how we met at the bus stop, but you didn't tell the part how you told me you would call me to go dancing with the girls that night, but you never called. I felt like such a loser! But we got over that quickly and we became fast friends and the rest is history! hahaha that is funny.

  5. Amy, I remember the night you were born. We weren't together but I remember having these three little girls watch me and wonder what I was going to do — I wasn't around little girls much, and had to sort of let it all go to relate to kid talk and action. Your mom and dad were busy with you. I had fun!

  6. Of course I could write a book. I remember when your preschool went on a field trip to a trout farm so all the little students could catch a fish. You were so excited to catch the trout! When the worker placed your hooked fish (still alive)in the bucket of water to zap him with the electric rod to end his misery, you said, "That's kinda sad." You have always loved critters of all kinds....

  7. Oh Amy, some of my favorite times were when we just sat on your bed and talked, or taped dominoe doing something funny....wasn't it you that did the tae bo videos in the living room and you always brought out the mirror to watch yourself....what about the time we took dominoe on a walk down by sam's apartment, so we could see his car.....does he know about that yet?:) haha

My first memory of you was me 6 months pregnant and looking online for "what can i compare the baby in my belly to?" and came upon your blog, and I got all excited because we have most of the same interest and you were pregnant! Lol, I have been a devotee of your blog for going on 7 months now and absolutely love it, so much I had to start my own which I've been neglecting because my son is 2 months old and is just starting to be super fun and awesome and not sleep so I pay more attention to that now lol. Anyway I absolutely love your blog and your family and just think you are a wonderful mom who I really i guess you could say look up to lol ima dork i know, anyways just wanted to let you know!
