raising up little boys | beach edition.

one of my few resolutions for 2014 was to get these two little goofballs outside more this year.  to make more of an effort to explore the parks & all the gorgeous wilderness around us.  living in the PNW, we're lucky to have a ton of access to state parks, beaches, trails & hikes so i want to start taking advantage of that.  plus, i've always kind of been a wimp about letting parker get dirty... i'm working on that too. and on letting these guys know it's ok to get mud on your jeans, dirt on your hands & to go outside even if it's raining.

totally worth it.  i'm only moderately obsessed with these pictures... elliot's smile in that last one?  i. die.

  1. Simply gorgeous photos. I don't have any plans to move out of NC anytime soon, but these photos make the PNW look veeeeerrrry enticing :)

  3. Beautiful photos! I've always loved your photographs, so it's good to have you blogging shots of the NW and your adorable little boys! I'm going to Seattle this summer ( first time ever to the pacific NW), and your shots just make me wish I was already there!

  4. Yep - we soon learned when moving to western WA that you never do anything if you let a little rain & moody skies stop you. Gorgeous pics with these precious moments with your sweet growing boys! Everywhere has its own beauty to love...

    1. Yeah, I've been trying to get these guys outside to play for at least an hour every day, unless it's a torrential downpour kinda day. Then I justify getting cozy & watching movies :)
