this is the last day.

our vacation ends today & i'm already going through withdrawals.  living three states away from your whole family is not fun!

but watching parker run around barefoot in the grass with his cousins is.  and late night root beer floats & oreo blizzard runs.  and shopping trips with your mom & sisters & waking up to the sound of your kid hanging out in the kitchen with his grandma & your husband playing three on three basketball with your bro-in-law & nephews & your dad's famous waffle breakfast & five mile runs in the sunshine are too.  these have been some of my favorite things.

so look forward to some trip recap posts soon.  oh, & some "let's get this healthy lifestyle back on track" posts.  because what's a family gathering without a little indulgence?  lame.  that's what.

and what's a blog post without a peak at this little face?  also lame.

goodbye utah!  you were good to us.

{september sponsors will be updated by the end of the week.  thanks for your patience!}

  4. So glad to hear you had such a good time. My sister is only 4 hours away, but even that is too much. So long as you have these amazing vacations I guess it helps bridge the gap a little. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures.

  12. I live in Los Angeles, all of our family in Texas. It is so, so hard to be away. BUT we always make Skype dates, send lots of pictures, and make sure he knows who everyone is. It makes going home the next time that much sweeter. Aren't you glad that you have a family you miss and miss spending time with? I know too many who are the opposite!
