party planning.

first off, thank you all so much for your kind words & overall awesomeness. it really has meant a lot to know how touched everyone is by samantha's story & that so many people are thinking of & praying for her family.  i know i'll be saying lots & lots of prayers to help me & everyone else get through the next couple days & the funeral.  it's not gonna be easy.

the thing is though, is that there are still many many happy things in life.  there were many happy times in samantha's life & i'm sure she's ok with us having a little fun around here.  that's why i've been cheering myself up all night by looking at fun party-inspiration pics for p-ray's big day.

yup, he turns the big o-n-e in just a few days over a month.  how did this sneak up on me?  it really really did.  here are some pics that are inspiring me tonight:

fun right?  just come to this party & try not to have a good time.  i dare ya.  know who else is gonna make our party legendary?  p-ray.  yeah... this little guy.

i think he's getting excited for his big day.  i know i am!

  2. Dude. I am even jealous of P-ray's first b-day! (Have you noticed that rhymes?) Why can't someone throw me a party with lollipops in cupcakes?!?

  3. Looks like fun - really love the colors! We still have plenty of time, but I can't say that I haven't already thought about Will's first party and he is only 4 months old. It is awesome that Parker's first birthday is in a warm(er) month. Will's is in November, so we will likely be confined indoors. Happy planning!!

  4. Too cute I love the robots in the m&ms! The tissue paper poms in the 2nd image set are really easy to make and so much cheaper to do yourself! Here's the diy tutorial I used if u wanna make them!

  7. How fun. I love the orange and blue color scheme! Are you looking for more inspiration? I did a 12 month banner for Calvin's 1st birthday. Under each month, I put pics of him at that age. It turned out really cute and everyone loved it! There's a pic of it on my fb.
I loved it, so I always share the idea! :)
    Have fun planning!!

  17. I had a niece that passed away 2 1/2 years ago. She was 18 months old... I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I can honestly say that it has helped me make it through many other trials, and has strengthened my testimony... Especially of eternal families. My heart still aches almost daily for my brother and his wife. I enjoy every moment I have with my little boy, and am so grateful that I have him. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!

  21. Oh my gosh, I'm in love with those party ideas. When did it stop being cool for adults to have kid themed parties? I think I would rather go to P-ray's party than some of my friend's birthday parties ;)
