sick & mischievous little boy.

my little man is still sick.  as i type this, i can hear him back in his room coughing hacking every few minutes.  ugh.  i. hate. this.  i took him to the doctor today & they prescribed an antibiotic to treat it as an upper respiratory tract infection.

i hope he gets better.  soon.

i was telling sam tonight that the hardest part about having a sick kid isn't all the extra care, the extra love, or the lack of sleep you experience while they're sick... no, the hardest part is seeing them uncomfortable & there is absolutely nothing you can do to take it away.  i am such a pansy.

anywho, yes, he was sick today... but not too sick to cause some mischief.  he's definitely at the point of getting into things.  little stinker.

see that plant on top of that speaker?  one guess as to how all that dirt landed all over p-ray {and my carpet}.  if you look closely in the third picture, you can see that he got what he wanted.

yes.  all of that for one little measly dead leaf.  i hope it was worth it.

oh, & on a brighter note, i did a little fun christmas-y photo shoot today with a super cute little girl.  if you're into super cute fun christmasy things, check it out here.

  1. nooo!! the carpet turned brown!! i'm in pain.
life with a baby is 70% cleaning. 25% feeding. 5% whatever else you can squeeze in.
i'm loving your pictures with your new camera, you've inspired me to explore my manual mode instead of just turning my flash off and hoping for the best all the time. i'm soo over getting nothing but blurry pictures now that he's walking.

  3. See? I am with Parker in that is NOT a good place for a plant that your Mom might water when she visits and almost trash Sam's speaker when the water leaks out the bottom & makes an excruciating, screeching electrical noise! Just sayin'...

  5. What a little cutie! I love how curious he is. Ahhhh boys. Sad that he's sick! That is seriously the worst part about being a parent. :( Makes me soooo sad! Just keep on washing those little hands. I wash the boys hands every time we get home from somewhere and before they eat and it seems to help a ton. Then again I'm a big germaphobe.

  6. I love the look he is giving the plant in the first picture like, "Hey, What did you do that for?" :)

Hope he gets to feeling better!

  9. Oh, no! It is a good thing he's cute. I checked out your pictures, and they are adorable! How in the world did you shoot with that ISO and not have to use a tripod? You must have a really good camera and a steady hand. They're gorgeous!

  14. I agree about the hardest thing when they're sick. Cami has RSV and seeing her cough or sitting there with the little nebulizer mask on just breaks my heart.

  17. I agree. The hardest part is seeing them feel bad when they're sick! Looks like you have a good vacuum to take care of the results of mischief, and I bet I'll enjoy seeing his mischievous self when he's older and looking back at these photos. Love your banner by the way.

  18. Too funny, and all too familiar! I can't get enough of the look on his face in the third picture. It's a mixture of cocky satisfaction and disgust!

  19. Manual with a camera is the way to go.I found it easier and it made me really think about everything when I was learning.
And the leaf was so worth it,just for the photo memories.

  20. Poor little one... :(
I would think his mischievous-ness would be a little comforting since you'd know he wasn't too sick to be himself. :)
Is that a Dyson I see? What do you think of it? I haven't been too impressed with mine.
